Skipper still sidelined for Town

Bruce picked up a groin injury in the 4-0 defeat to Newcastle last weekend and missed the 3-3 draw at Sheffield United in midweek. He will again miss out at Oakwell so youngster Tommy Smith should partner Gareth McAuley in defence as Roy Keane looks for a first clean sheet in 10 games and a first league win of the season. Town slipped to the bottom of the Championship in midweek after making the worst start to a season in the club's history and are in desperate need of the three points. Midfielders Luciano Civelli and David Norris remain sidelined with long-term knee injuries but both could be back in action before Christmas.
