Norris winning fitness battle

Ipswich Town midfielder David Norris is winning his fitness battle as he nears a return to first team action. The £2million midfielder damaged knee ligaments in the opening day game at Coventry City and has not featured since. Roy Keane's Tractor Boys are struggling in the Championship this term and after just one league win, they sit second from bottom and the return of the influential former Plymouth Argyle man would provide a timely boost. Speaking to the Evening Star, team-mate Alex Bruce said: "David is looking great in training and it'll not be long before he is back. "I can see him and Grant Leadbitter linking well together in the middle of the park, which can only be good."
