Norris issues new apology

Ipswich Town midfielder David Norris has visited the Peak family and apologised for the way he celebrated after scoring the winning goal at Blackpool earlier this month. Norris was castigated for his 'handcuffs' gesture which was aimed towards his former Plymouth Argyle team-mate Luke McCormick, who caused the road accident that caused the death of the Peaks' two sons. A Town spokesman said: "David spent an hour with Phil and Amanda Peak in Manchester and apologised to the family. "He appreciated the opportunity to do that." Norris was fined a maximum two weeks' wages by Ipswich for his actions in the Blackpool game.
