Norris: Blame the Town squad

Ipswich Town midfielder David Norris says that the club's players are the ones to blame for a dismal start to the new season, not manager Jim Magilton.

Magilton has come under fire after a run of just three wins from ten league games this term, but Norris says that it is the Town squad that should be facing their critics.

Norris told the Evening Star: "It's all down to us, the players. Please don't blame the manager, blame us. We are prepared properly for every game.

"The amount of homework that's done by the manager and his coaching staff is incredible. There's nothing wrong with what they're doing.

"It's down to us - the players who take the manager's message on to the field.

"With the management and player strength we now have at this club, we'll end the season in a much higher position than we are now."
