Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has strengthened his improving squad by snapping up highly-rated defender Ian Miller from Bury Town.
The 22-year-old has signed a deal that will keep him at Portman Road until June 2007.
"Ian has done well while he's been training here and we're delighted to have him on board," Magilton told the club's official website.
"He's got a great attitude to the game and is a good talker, which seems to be a dying art in football now. He's quick and reads situations very well.
"He played well for Bury against our reserves in pre-season and I've liked what I've seen of him ever since.
"The last lad the club got from Bury didn't do too badly, Simon Milton. Ian wants to follow in Milts' footsteps and we're going to give him the chance."
