Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton has warned the club's fans not to expect too much too soon from new signing Luciano Civelli.
The 22-year-old Agrentinian has moved to England from Banfield, but Magilton says he will need time to adjust to his new surroundings.
He told the club's official website: "Luca has looked lively in training and is a natural left-footer, a natural left-sided player.
"But he has not played any competitive football for four or five weeks. Banfield wrapped him up in cotton wool so as not to jeopardise the deal.
"We will need to get games into him as soon as we can to get his match fitness levels up.
"It will probably be towards the end of the season before we start to reap the benefits."
