Macken's Town stay hint

Striker Jon Macken says he would be keen to stay at Ipswich Town on a permanent deal after issuing an apology for throwing a tantrum when substituted in the 1-0 defeat at Barnsley.
The 29-year-old former Preston and Manchester City hitman is on loan at Portman Road from Championship rivals Crystal Palace and has performed well before blotting his copybook at the weekend.
Macken kicked water bottles flying and tried to kick lumps out of the dug-out at Oakwell in front of Town boss Jim Magilton, after being withdrawn an hour into the game against the Tykes.
However, he has now expressed his regret at the incident, while admitting that he would be interested in making the move from Selhurst Park a full-time arrangement.
He said: "It was a little bit silly and I apologise if I offended anybody. My actions were borne out of frustration."
On the possibility of staying, he added: "Everybody at Ipswich has helped me tremendously, and it will be a decision taken by this club, Palace and myself when the time comes.
"I think I have shown how much I want to win."
