Lengthy lay-off for Civelli

Ipswich Town winger Luciano Civelli has been forced to have surgery on his injured right knee.

Such is the extent of the problem that the 22-year-old, who sustained the injury in the draw against Burnley on 17 March, will play no more football this year.

Town physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "We're pleased with the way the surgery has gone.

"The knee is strong and stable and we anticipate him making a full recovery."

The Argentinian has made only eight appearances for Town following his £1million switch from Banfield in January.
