Apoplectic Roy Keane blasted his under-performing Ipswich Town players after they had slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Watford.

The volatile former Manchester United midfielder locked his players in the dressing room for 90 minutes after the game after earlier substituting Owen Garvan midway through the first half.

"Unbelievable," he fumed after the match. "We kicked the ball out of play after three seconds and that set the tone for the night.

"The game started at quarter-to-eight. We got back into the game and then gave another bad goal away - talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

"I'm disappointed with the whole package. I changed a couple of players to freshen it up but they say don't change a winning team - it could be true.

"I really believe Watford wanted it more and that is hard to stomach."
