Keane rules out Lisbie sale

Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane says he has not heard from Colchester United, despite reports suggesting the League One side want to sign striker Kevin Lisbie on a permanent basis.

Keane is pleased the 31-year-old has enjoyed such a prolific loan spell with Colchester and is hoping the former Charlton Athletic forward can replicate that form when he returns to Portman Road next month.

"I've had no contact with Colchester. I know that they've got my phone number," said Keane.

"Kevin's coming back to the club in January. He's gone away and got sharp and scored a few goals, which was the whole point in him going out on loan in the first place.

"He's a good player, but he had disappointments when he first came here."

Lisbie has found the net ten times in 19 League One matches for the U's since joining the club in August.
