Keane rubbishes Dyer link

Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane has dismissed rumours suggesting that he was lining up a loan bid to bring Kieron Dyer back to Portman Road.

The 31-year-old former England international started his career with the Tractor Boys, but his progress since leaving in the summer of 1999 has continually been hampered by injury problems.

However, Keane insists that he has not approached Dyer's current club, West Ham, about a possible deal.

He told reporters: "It's utter rubbish, he's still injured isn't he? Kieron Dyer is not a player that I'm interested in at this moment in time.

"If we were interested in a player, then we'd contact the club."
