Keane: We deserved victory
Published : 21 Aug 2010 20:00:34

Roy Keane felt his Ipswich side were good value for their three points after they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park. The hosts went into the game boosted by their exit from administration and the headline-grabbing signing of Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids, who was unveiled to the crowd at half-time.But it was Ipswich who came away with the win courtesy of goals from Grant Leadbitter and Carlos Edwards, in a game that saw both sides finish with 10 men.Keane said: "I thought we deserved (to win) it. We looked dangerous and it was a tough game. This is always a tough place to come with strong, athletic players who can put you under pressure."So the second goal was a big boost for us and a good finish from Carlos, it was also a good move as well."Palace did cause us problems and we had a few scary moments but having said that, I don't think (goalkeeper) Marton (Fulop) had too many shots to save, but he will be disappointed with the goal he conceded, but that's football."
