WingerDarren Ambrose is hoping to make his loan deal at Ipswich Town into a permanent transfer back to his former club.
The 24-year-old midfielder rejoined the Tractor Boys from Charlton Athletic at the beginning of the week and has immediately revealed his intention to earn a full-time switch back to Portman Road.
Ambrose started his career with the Championship club and made 30 appearances before joining Newcastle United in 2003.
"I'm delighted to be back here. I had the best part of my career at Ipswich," he told the club's official website.
"I grew up as a youngster at the club and when the chance came to come back here, I jumped at it.
"I'm here on loan until January but I'd love to make it a permanent move. I feel I have unfinished business here after leaving so early in my career and I want to fulfil my potential at the club.
"I've got two months to show the manager that I'm worth keeping here. It's down to me."
