Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton thought his side's display in Tuesday's 3-0 home defeat to Southampton was their worst since he took charge at Portman Road three years ago.
The loss left Town tenth in the Championship table, five points adrift of the final play-off spot, and the fans made their feelings known at the final whistle.
A beleaguered Magilton admitted after the match: "It's certainly the worst performance since I became manager, without a shadow of a doubt. It was 3-0 going on six.
"It wasn't acceptable. The crowd had every right to voice their opinion tonight.
"You have to have a few words after a performance like that. You want to know where it's come from.
"You want to know which players are going to stand up and say a few words."
