Ipswich striker Connor Wickham has been called up to the England Under-21 squad to face Germany. The 17-year-old was left out of the original squad but has now been added to Stuart Pearce's travelling party for the game in Wiesbaden. Wickham has previous international experience after netting the winning goal for the Under-17s in their European Championship win over Spain in the summer. He was then promoted to the Under-19s for their recent qualifiers but now finds himself up another level.
