Walters poised to face Canaries
The 25-year-old has recovered from his ankle ligament damage but missed the Easter games against Doncaster and Bristol City with a back problem.
However Town's current player of the year is in line for a return at Portman Road on Sunday as Ipswich aim to hand their relegation-threatened rivals a damaging defeat.
Physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "Jon had a sore back but he's on the mend now and has done some light training work.
"He will increase his workload through the week and providing there is no reaction he should be fine for the Norwich match."
Meanwhile goalkeeper Shane Supple is back from his loan spell with Oldham after picking up a knee injury.
