The 20-year-old midfielder has played 13 times for the Iron since moving on loan from Ipswich, whose manager, Roy Keane, watched him in action as Scunthorpe secured their place at Wembley against the MK Dons last weekend. With his contract at Portman Road due to expire at the end of this season, Trotter knows that he is playing for his future, but is also focussed on helping Scunthorpe achieve an instant return to the Championship against Millwall on Sunday. "I know Roy Keane was at the game on Friday night watching me and it is obviously down to Ipswich whether or not they want to offer me another contract or not," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "I just want to play football, if that is at Ipswich then great because they are my hometown club. But if not I am enjoying my time here at Scunthorpe, and if not here then hopefully I will have some other options. "I am not looking any further than Wembley at the moment - it is not just about showing Roy Keane what I can do. It is to get this club up because I think they are one of the better clubs in this league and they deserve it."
