Town boss wants improved home form

Portman Road has a reputation for its friendly atmosphere and warm reception given to travelling fans but produced just eight home wins for the Tractor Boys last season. And Keane is determined to change that without compromising the club's traditions. "People talk about Ipswich being a nice place to come and play for visiting teams so it would be good if we can make it a bit more intimidating," he told the club's official website. "The supporters can play a big part in that but it comes down to the players as well. We need to win football matches and turn Portman Road into a fortress. "Teams can still look forward to coming here. We can have that in a nice way but we can still win games here."
