Town backlash delights Keane
Ipswich manager Roy Keane was delighted with the reponse of his players to their midweek disappointment after the 2-0 win over Cardiff.
Town were thumped 3-0 by leaders QPR on Tuesday night but bounced back by sinking City at Portman Road to leapfrog the Welsh side into second place.
Cardiff made a bright start but Ipswich dominated after the break with an own goal from Adam Matthews and Jason Scotland's second goal for Town giving them a deserved victory.
"It was a good performance, a good game and a good victory, and we deserved it after the first 10 minutes when we were under a lot of pressure," said Keane.
"The players reacted well and I knew they would. They did well against a good Cardiff team. Cardiff were missing some important players but they are still a handful.
"For the first 10 minutes we could not get out of the box never mind the half but we stuck at it, which you have to do."
