Stead was sent off for the first time in his career during the 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, but manager Roy Keane has appealed to the Football Association and will have the forward available against Rangers.[LNB]If the appeal is not successful, Stead will begin a three-match ban against Blackpool in next weekend's FA Cup first-round tie.[LNB]Keane does have Jon Walters and Grant Leadbitter back after they were both suspended against Palace, while on-loan forward Stern John is also available after being ineligible to face his parent club Palace.[LNB]Midfielder David Norris was an unused substitute at Selhurst Park and could be involved for the first time since injuring his knee on the opening weekend of the season, while defender Alex Bruce could also return from a groin injury.[LNB]Goalkeeper Richard Wright and winger Luciano Civelli are both still sidelined by serious knee injuries.[LNB][LNB]
