Sunderland end Colback loan spell

Sunderland have recalled midfielder Jack Colback from his loan spell at Ipswich in time for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Notts County.Injury to David Meyler and Boudewijn Zenden's suspension following his sending-off against West Ham left the Wearsiders short of midfield cover. [LNB]Colback, 21, had been a regular at Portman Road under former Black Cats boss Roy Keane, making 13 appearances. [LNB]His sole Sunderland appearance this term came against Colchester in August. [LNB]Since signing professional terms at the Stadium of Light in the summer of 2008, the academy graduate has made just two first-team appearances.
