Selection poser for Keane

Ipswich manager Roy Keane is facing a selection dilemma at left-back ahead of the trip to Portsmouth. Keane saw on-loan Celtic man Darren O'Dea pull out of the Republic of Ireland squad last week with a knee injury while Shane O'Connor suffered a hamstring problem in training during the lead up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21s' qualifier in Switzerland. Mark Kennedy - who started the season at left-back - sustained a hamstring injury on his debut and is not yet fit to return. That leaves Keane with no recognised full-back available, although Damien Delaney did manage 45 minutes for the reserves this week on his return from an operation to remove a blood clot during the summer. Argentinian winger Luciano Civelli made his first appearance at Portman Road in 18 months in that reserve game. He damaged knee ligaments at Burnley in March 2009 but could be back in contention soon. Andros Townsend serves the third and final game of a suspension following his red card at Crystal Palace.
