Scotland to make Town bow

23 August 2010 13:30
Ipswich boss Roy Keane will hand a debut to striker Jason Scotland at Crewe. Scotland has signed a one-year deal at Portman Road after cutting short his stay with Wigan and will lead the line at Gresty Road in the Carling Cup tie. Jon Stead will not feature after he left the club to join Bristol City and Town will also be without winger Andros Townsend. Townsend was sent off for an over zealous challenge in the 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and begins a three-match ban. Centre-half Gareth McAuley has recovered from a back injury and winger Carlos Edwards returned from a groin problem to score at Selhurst Park. Mark Kennedy sustained a hamstring injury on his debut a fortnight ago and is not fit.
