Scotland set for Town start

Ipswich striker Jason Scotland could be handed his first start when Bristol City arrive at Portman Road. Scotland played 75 minutes of the 1-0 Carling Cup win at Crewe in midweek as he builds up match fitness following his move from Wigan, and he could start against the Robins. Town will be without winger Andros Townsend after he was sent off for an over-zealous challenge in the 2-1 win at Crystal Palace last Saturday. He serves the second game of a three-match ban. Centre-half Gareth McAuley has recovered from a back injury and winger Carlos Edwards returned from a groin problem to score at Selhurst Park. Mark Kennedy sustained a hamstring injury on his debut a fortnight ago and is not yet fit, while Jon Stead will make a rapid return to the club after leaving to join City last week.
