Scotland: I need to be playing

Ipswich striker Jason Scotland claims that manager Paul Jewell is happy to let him leave the club on loan - and he is keen on a return to Swansea. Scotland has scored seven times for Town this season since his summer move from Wigan but has been used as a substitute since Jewell replaced Roy Keane last month. And a return to Wales - where he scored 53 times in two seasons - appeals to the Trinidad { Tobago international. Scotland said: "I went to Ipswich to play football and I'm not doing that. I am at that point in my career when I need to be playing, not sitting on the bench. The new manager has come in and I have not had a chance, but I feel I have a lot to contribute. "I had a word with him and he is happy to let me go. If Swansea are interested in me it would be great. I enjoyed my best time of my career there and it would be an easy decision for me. "I'm not interested in going to any other club. It's up to Swansea now to speak to Ipswich and make something happen."
