Roy keen on Kennedy's impact

Boss Roy Keane believes Mark Kennedy will add quality and experience to his Ipswich team following the defender`s arrival from Championship rivals Cardiff. The 34-year-old made his first appearance for the club as a second-half substitute during the 1-0 win at Bury on Thursday night after signing a two-year deal. "We have not really had a left-back at the club over the last year or two," Keane told the club`s official website. "Players have done a good job for me there, young Shane (O`Connor) and Wrighty (David Wright) last season but Wrighty was a right-back and the balance wasn`t quite there. "I have played with Sparky and he has got good quality on the ball and he is a very experienced player, and we lack that experience in the group. "He can help the young players at the club, like Shane, and I am pleased we have got him on board."
