Robins accept Ipswich bid for Austin
Swindon have accepted an undisclosed bid from Ipswich for star striker Charlie Austin, the League One club have confirmed.
Austin, who has been a goalscoring revelation since arriving from non-league Poole Town in October 2009, has subsequently spent Thursday in talks with the Championship outfit at Portman Road.
Manager Danny Wilson said: "Ipswich have come in with an offer which we`ve accepted and we`ve given Charlie permission to go there and talk with them.
"If Charlie does go then we`ll wish him all the best because he`s exceeded everyone's expectations and has done fantastically well for us."
A host of other clubs are also battling for Austin's signature, with Wilson earlier this week revealing Premier League Blackpool were close to meeting Town`s valuation of the 21-year-old.
