The teenage frontman has hit six goals in eight games since arriving on loan from Town, helping the Bees to the top of the League Two table.

There has been a clamour among some Ipswich fans to bring Rhodes back to Suffolk, but he is focusing on continuing to find the net for Andy Scott's side.

"I still have two years left on my contract at Portman Road and I'm only 19, so this is a massive chance at Brentford for me to show people what I'm capable of," he said.

"I just want to do the best I can and hope Ipswich will be keeping tabs on what I'm doing.

"If I can do my bit to help them win promotion then that would be great and stand me in good stead for the future. It would be a great thing to have on my CV."
