Reports: Keane Set for Sack

Reports in tommorow mornings press are claiming that Town boss Roy Keane will be sacked during the week after the Town board have lost patience with his management. According to the reports in Monday mornings Guardian, Town owner Marcus Evans and Chief Executive Simon Clegg have ran out of patience with the former Sunderland manager and are expected to act by relieving Keane of his duties at the club.Town are currently laying in 16th in the Coca-Cola Championship with just six games remaining during a season in which they were expected to challenge for promotion to the Premiership, but instead have flirted with the prospect of relegation for long periods.Should Keane's services be dispensed with, former Charlton boss Alan Curbishley is likely to be amongst the front runners to take the Manager's hot seat at Portman Road, having been spotted around the club's directors box on several occasions in recent times.Speaking about his own future this weekend Keane said: "There's speculation about my job, but there are much better managers than me who have lost their jobs."If the club wants to move me on, then they'll move me on and there's very little I can do about it. This sort of talk doesn't keep me awake at night and my players shouldn't take any notice of it, either."If I lose my job, I lose my job. There's always speculation about lots of managers in the Premier League and Championship so it's nothing new. If you think I'm fearful of that, don't kid yourself. I've got a good wife and five good kids so I'll be OK whatever happens."
