Pearce well aware of Wickham
England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce has confirmed that Ipswich starlet Connor Wickham is a player he is well aware of.
The teenager is currently out injured with an ankle problem but scored the winner as the England Under-17 side won their European crown in May.
Pearce said: "Every young England player is on my radar. Whether it is Connor or anybody else, we won't go more than two games without watching them.
"Connor is certainly in the category of players we are watching. I saw him myself towards the back end of last season and was impressed."
