Murphy receives Republic nod
Republic of Ireland have called up Ipswich goalkeeper Brian Murphy to their squad for their Euro 2012 qualifier with Slovakia.
Murphy has been added to the party as cover after Coventry stopper Kieran Westwood was ruled out after picking up a facial injury in training.
The 27-year-old has represented Ireland at Under-21 level and has been part of Giovanni Trappatoni's squad over the past 12 months but is yet to make his senior debut.
Shay Given will continue in goal so Murphy will have to settle for a place among the bench.
