Gareth McAuley has called on the Ipswich fans to inspire them as they look to upset Barclays Premier League side Arsenal in the Carling Cup. The Tractor Boys welcome Arsene Wenger's side to Portman Road in the semi-final first leg and although the odds are stacked against the Blues, the defender knows their home fans can give them a huge boost. "If we can get any result against Arsenal it will give everyone a lift," he told the club's official website. "We know it's going to be very difficult but we've got to go out there and put on a performance. It will be the first time I have played in front of 30,000 at Portman Road. "I'm sure the fans will get right behind us and that will be a big help because we are going to need them. It should be a fantastic occasion and hopefully we can put a smile back on the faces of the supporters."
