Leadbitter blow for Ipswich

12 November 2010 12:00
Ipswich will be without midfielder Grant Leadbitter for the visit of Barnsley. The former Sunderland man picked up his fifth booking of the season during the 2-0 home defeat to Derby in midweek and will serve a one-match ban against the Tykes. Captain David Norris is also likely to be absent as he continues to struggle with his ankle injury so on-loan Tottenham winger Andros Townsend could start with Jack Colback moving into the middle. Defender Gareth McAuley is unlikely to feature after he came off against the Rams with an Achilles injury so Jaime Peters could come in. Defenders Darren O'Dea (knee) and Mark Kennedy (hamstring) were both back on the bench in midweek after lengthy absences and could come into contention. Midfielder Colin Healy is recovering from a hamstring and then groin injury but would not have been involved anyway.
