Keane tears into Town after defeat
Back-to-back wins had eased Town clear of the relegation zone ahead of their meeting with a Hornets side hurtling in the opposite direction after four straight defeats.[LNB]But goals from Henri Lansbury and Will Hoskins got the hosts back to winning ways and Keane's players were left in no doubt about his verdict on their sorry display during a lengthy post-match dressing down.[LNB]"Unbelievable," fumed the Town boss.[LNB]"We kicked the ball out of play after three seconds and that set the tone for the night."[LNB]Town did improve after the break, and equalised through Jack Colback, but Keane added: "The game started at quarter to eight.[LNB]"We got back into the game and then gave another bad goal away - talk about shooting yourself in the foot.[LNB]"I'm disappointed with the whole package. I changed a couple of players to freshen it up but they say don't change a winning team - it could be true."[LNB]Keane hauled midfielder Owen Garvan off after just 22 minutes, and added: "There could have been more.[LNB]"I really believe Watford wanted it more and that is hard to stomach."[LNB]Lansbury had given the visitors a warning with barely 30 seconds on the clock when his deflected free-kick cannoned back off the crossbar.[LNB]But the on-loan Arsenal youngster had better luck seven minutes later when his inswinging free-kick was missed by everyone - including, crucially, Town goalkeeper Brian Murphy - and nestled in the back of the net.[LNB]Heidar Helguson also rattled the woodwork for the hosts in the first half.[LNB]But Ipswich did drag themselves level when Watford failed to deal with Grant Leadbitter's corner and Jack Colback lashed the loose ball home.[LNB]But Hornets boss Malky Mackay's decision to recall Hoskins was rewarded with the winner.[LNB]The striker had already fluffed a couple of decent chances in front of goal, but his moment arrived in the 76th minute.[LNB]He latched onto a flick from substitute Danny Graham - the man he had replaced in the starting line-up - and rifled a superb low shot into the net from the edge of the area.[LNB]"Will has been close to getting in the team in last couple of weeks," said Mackay.[LNB]"He's matured this season, he's had a child with his partner and settled down.[LNB]"He's undoubtedly talented but it's also about work rate and we have seen that recently - I'm delighted for him."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
