Keane quashes Stead rumours

Ipswich manager Roy Keane has quelled interest in a swap deal involving Jon Stead and Cardiff forward Ross McCormack. Stead scored in the opening day win at Middlesbrough but is still free to find another club and Keane was interested in the switch. But he said: "There's been no move on Ross McCormack, because there is one or two other clubs in for Steady. "That was always going to be the most complicated one, when you're doing a swap deal. "Steady has every entitlement to speak to other clubs. He's got to pick the right club and that might just upset the deal anyway."
