The double took his tally to five goals in eight games since his loan move from Sunderland and Ipswich boss Keane said: "We've given him a new lease of life and he could be in double figures already.[LNB]"I spoke to him in the summer about joining and he probably regrets that that didn't happen.[LNB]"He's come in and had a run of games and his biggest strength is definitely playing through the middle.[LNB]"He's getting chances in every game and I was pleased with his goals tonight.[LNB]"They were poacher's goals, particularly the second one.[LNB]"We haven't scored anywhere near enough like that this season and need more.[LNB]"We try to score so many wonder goals after 15 or 16 passes."[LNB]Keane was satisfied with his side's performance and pleased to climb up two places to 17th.[LNB]"We scored two, their keeper made two particularly good saves and I thought we played not bad," said the Irishman.[LNB]"We kept it well, stretched them when we had to, created chances and the players looked like they enjoyed it.[LNB]"In terms of keeping the ball, our tackling and our shape, the tempo was decent."[LNB]Ipswich took the lead after 18 minutes when Jack Colback got on the end of a ball in from the right, twisted past his marker and delivered a low cross that was stroked in by Murphy.[LNB]They then doubled their lead just before the hour mark.[LNB]David Norris' poor corner somehow found its way to Owen Garvan, whose scorching long-range effort was parried by David Marshall.[LNB]However, Murphy reacted quickest to the loose ball and rifled home his second of the night.[LNB]Marshall made two other excellent saves to deny Murphy his hat-trick and also kept out efforts from Gareth McAuley and Pablo Counago.[LNB]Cardiff assistant boss Terry Burton admitted: "Ipswich were by far the better team.[LNB]"They played better on the night and 2-0 flattered us.[LNB]"Everyone uses it as an excuse but we've got a lot of injuries, including players who would normally be in our starting 11.[LNB]"We never got going, though.[LNB]"We were second best in every area and there was so much wrong that he (boss Dave Jones) could be talking to the players until midnight."[LNB]Burton added: "We can still make the play-offs, but we'll certainly be a lot happier when we get some of our injured players back."[LNB]Michael Chopra had Cardiff's best chances but sent an overhead kick spinning over and then screwed wide after Kevin McNaughton's delivery was flicked on by Jay Bothroyd.[LNB][LNB]
