Keane makes own mind up - Clegg

Keane, who resided in Manchester when in charge of the Black Cats, parted ways with the North-East club after disagreements with some of those above him - pointing to differences in opinion over where he lived and when he came into the club as two of the details in question. But Tractor Boys chief executive Clegg, who himself only arrived at Portman Road towards the end of April - just days before Keane, admits he will not meddle in such matters. "That's not my style anyway," former chief executive of the BOA Clegg told Inside The Games. "I will not be telling Roy any such thing. He makes his own mind up. But what will influence his decision-making process is - is it in the best interest of this club?" Speaking about plans for next season, Clegg added: "Roy has already spent a lot of time on the training ground getting to know the coaching staff up there and the players and formulating his views on them. In the very near future we will be having a big meeting to effectively brainstorm the way forward. "We need to make some fairly urgent decisions about the 13 players we have out of contract. The transfer window is open and the mind is very much in terms of making sure we are are putting in place those building blocks over the next couple of months so we can get back to the Premier League at the earliest opportunity."
