Keane has a pop at Town boo-boys

26 March 2010 12:36
The Town boss was unhappy with small sections of the crowd booing youngster Jack Colback after a number of wayward set-pieces in their 2-0 defeat against Plymouth Argyle.[LNB]Keane told the club's official website: "Our fans have been magnificent this year, I've said that many times but I didn't like the booing that Jack got a couple of times.[LNB]"Supporters are entitled to their opinions and it was only a small minority but Jack has been brilliant for us this season, he's been head and shoulders our best player. He's only a young lad learning his trade and he made one or two mistakes in his delivery from a corner and free-kick, but I don't expect fans to get on the back of him.[LNB]"He'll handle it because he's a strong character but the young players need the fans behind them. Boo the manager all you like, fair enough. But get behind the players, especially the youngsters.[LNB]"But like I said, it's only a small minority. I think the Ipswich fans in general are intelligent. They are knowledgeable of the game and have been brilliant this season."[LNB][LNB] Swansea v Ipswich. Click here to bet.
