Keane close to new Town signing
Keane is eager to bolster his squad before Town's opening Championship fixture at home to Coventry on Sunday.
He is also in the market for another 'attack-minded' player after allowing Jordan Rhodes to join Huddersfield.
"I'm very close to signing a new midfielder. There is the possibility something can be done in the next 24 hours," Keane told the Evening Star.
"The keepers are okay. The defenders are okay, midfield is okay, but I'll probably look to bring in another attack-minded player. Probably two if I can be greedy."
