Keane blasts Town over Cork defeat
Town were deservedly beaten in the second game of their Irish tour, and Keane was quick to praise the hosts for a fine display.
"Credit to Cork. I keep saying that's the beauty of going to Ireland - they've got some good players," said Keane.
"The League of Ireland teams are good. It's tough, you don't get much time on the ball but from our point of view I thought we started badly and gradually got worse.
"Some players had another opportunity to impress me and they didn't take it. I try not to over-analyse pre-seasons, though. I've been involved with teams who have been flying but then it doesn't happen when the season starts, and vice-versa."
