Keane backs Healy for Town success

Healy came off the bench to equalise 16 minutes from time and earn Ipswich a 1-1 draw six minutes after Iron skipper Cliff Byrne had opened the scoring at Glanford Park.[LNB]Healy had been in the wilderness at Sunderland before making a loan move to Portman Road until the end of the season last month and Keane is confident there is more to come from the former Preston and Leeds man.[LNB]Keane said: "Sometimes it happens to strikers (a barren spell), he'd have been disappointed not to start.[LNB]"He's been unfortunate not to score one or two for Sunderland, I've seen incidents where he's been unlucky.[LNB]"I think once a goalscorer, always a goalscorer and I think he probably just needs a run of games.[LNB]"He's got a decent goal record, obviously you look at what happened with him at Fulham and Sunderland and sometimes for a striker it doesn't work at a club.[LNB]"I've known David from my younger days at Manchester United and he's a goalscorer, you try and find the right level and he's just come a little bit short in the Premiership but that's no insult to any goalscorer.[LNB]"He will probably say he's also not had a run of games. Listen, if you've scored that amount at international level it says a lot about you."[LNB]Ipswich dominated the first half, with Jon Walters and Daryl Murphy hitting the crossbar but Keane was pleased with a point.[LNB]He added: "When they got the goal up you thought it was going to be a long battle back.[LNB]"I think we maybe got a little bit of luck with the goal, I don't know but we certainly had chances in the second half.[LNB]"Nobody thought it was going to be a classic and when you go one down, we didn't look particularly dangerous in the second half so we'll take the draw and obviously it stops the opposition from getting maximum points so it keeps them round and about us."[LNB]Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins paid tribute to the battling qualities of his team on a poor pitch and with the snow coming down heavily.[LNB]He said: "The lads have showed another string to their bow in terms of their grit and attitude and the way they adapted to the conditions, they did that very well.[LNB]"We've targeted games to win and we were after the three points but the big thing is we've taken something out of the game against a team that is in and around us."[LNB][LNB]
