Jewell wants more clinical Tractor Boys

Ipswich manager Paul Jewell believes his side need to improve in front of goal despite a 2-0 win over Scunthorpe. Goals from Carlos Edwards and Jimmy Bullard gave Town the three points to leave Scunthorpe second from bottom. Jewell said: "They were two great goals that would grace any game. It was lovely to see them go in but in between we had lots of opportunities to put the game to bed. Missing chances is our Achilles heel, though. "We should have scored three or four in the first half and, had that happened, we might have produced a better performance in the second half. Instead the game petered out. Scunthorpe were a potential banana skin and overall I thought we went about it really well. "We passed the ball well, got at them and got balls into the box but, once again, we just weren't on the end of enough of them. There's absolutely no doubt that the result was the most important thing and if you analyse the game there's no doubt we dominated for large periods, without killing the game off. "We're looking forward to the break. We've played more games than any other Championship side, with the league and the Carling Cup. It gives us two weeks to catch our breath."
