Tractor Boys may be unchanged

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy could name an unchanged side for the home clash with Wigan.

The Tractor Boys won their first away game of 2014 at Yeovil in midweek and those players are likely to get another chance to close the gap on the top six.

Frank Nouble could miss out with the hamstring problem which ruled him out of Tuesday's game, while Anthony Wordsworth (back) and David McGoldrick (knee) will definitely watch from the sidelines.

McCarthy's side head into the contest just four points behind Reading, who occupy the final play-off place.

Wigan's top scorer Nick Powell could be considered for his first start since January 28.

The on-loan Manchester United teenager made his comeback from the bench in midweek following a hamstring problem and came through a 36-minute cameo unscathed.

Scotland international winger Shaun Maloney (hip) and club captain Gary Caldwell (Achilles) played 45 minutes for Wigan's development squad in midweek although they are both on the way back from lengthy absences.

Midfielder Chris McCann underwent surgery on a knee injury in midweek and is unlikely to play again this season, meaning he joins Ben Watson on the sidelines, with last year's FA Cup final hero recovering from a leg break.
