Ebanks-Blake free for Town bow

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is available to make his Ipswich debut at home to out-of-sorts Watford.

The striker, a free agent following his departure from Wolves at the end of last season, signed for Town on Thursday on a deal until the end of the season.

Otherwise, Mick McCarthy is expected to boast a fully-fit squad as Town aim to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Town frontman Paul Taylor missed last weekend's goalless draw at Nottingham Forest due to illness but is likely to have recovered.

Watford start a new era under head coach Giuseppe Sannino at Portman Road.

Former Chievo boss Sannino was appointed on Wednesday in the wake of fellow Italian Gianfranco Zola's resignation with the Hornets winless in nine matches following last weekend's 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sannino is boosted by the return of defenders Joel Ekstrand and Lloyd Doyley from suspension and a hamstring injury respectively.

However, Marco Faraoni (ankle) now faces a couple of weeks in the treatment room and joins Almen Abdi (foot), Essaid Belkalem and Tommie Hoban (both ankle) on the sidelines.
