McCarthy ponders Henshall start
Ipswich could hand a debut to Alex Henshall when they welcome high-flying Derby to Portman Road.
The young winger is expected to go straight into Mick McCarthy's match-day squad after arriving on loan from Manchester City on Monday and should offer competition to the likes of Paul Anderson and Stephen Hunt.
Cole Skuse missed Saturday's impressive win at Brighton after picking up a knock in the previous week's defeat at Wigan and it remains to be seen if he will be involved.
Anthony Wordsworth was a surprise inclusion at the weekend having not started a game for 10 months and, with Skuse still a doubt, the 25-year-old could retain his place.
Jamie Ward is an injury doubt for Derby.
Ward will be assessed after a hamstring problem forced off the forward shortly before half-time during Saturday's 5-0 home victory over Nottingham Forest.
Simon Dawkins will certainly miss out at Portman Road with the groin injury that ruled him out against Forest. The attacking midfielder is expected to be absent for between a week and a fortnight.
Central midfielder John Eustace will serve the second game of a two-match suspension.
