Jonas Knudsen set to miss Ipswich's clash with Cardiff

Jonas Knudsen is expected to miss out when Ipswich look to end their seven-match winless run against Cardiff at Portman Road on Saturday.

The Danish defender suffered a hamstring injury in last week's draw with Nottingham Forest, while Cole Skuse also went off with an ankle problem but expects to be okay for Town, who last won on September 15 against Leeds.

Teddy Bishop is back in training following his hamstring problem, but the game is likely to come too soon for him.

Luke Hyam (knee) and Luke Varney (Achilles) are still weeks away from full fitness and Ryan Fraser has returned to parent club Bournemouth due to his knee injury.

Cardiff striker Kenwyne Jones will be sidelined again after missing the last three games with a shin injury.

The 31-year-old suffered the injury while on international duty with Trinidad & Tobago earlier this month and only the own goal of Middlesbrough's George Friend has come Cardiff's way since Jones has been absent.

The Bluebirds hope Jones will be available for next Tuesday's visit to Leeds, but in the meantime Joe Mason, Alex Revell and Sammy Ameobi will contest the two striking spots at Ipswich.

Joe Ralls is set to return after a hamstring problem prevented him from starting the last two matches, the young midfielder coming on as a second-half substitute in Monday night's goalless Severnside derby with Bristol City.
