Jewell to make Chopra judgement Manager Paul Jewell must decide whether to start Michael Chopra in Ipswich's televised clash at home to former club Cardiff. The striker is fit having returned to the fold for Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Brighton following a groin injury. However, Chopra attracted the headlines for all the wrong reasons on Thursday having been one of nine people charged in connection with race-fixing by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA). Jewell must now make a decision on the frontman's state of mind ahead of the 5.20pm kick-off. Midfielder Luke Hyam missed out in midweek with a back injury and will again sit out versus the Bluebirds, as will long-term absentee Paul Taylor (foot). Jewell has bolstered his ranks with the capture of Richie Wellens on a one-month loan from Leicester and he is likely to go straight into the squad. Cardiff are set to be unchanged. Malky Mackay's league leaders picked up no new injuries as they beat Birmingham 2-1 in midweek to move into top spot. But while the Bluebirds have won all five of their home games this season, they have only picked up a win on their travels on one occasion. They will look to add a second away victory to their record against an Ipswich side who are yet to enjoy success at Portman Road in the league this campaign. Cardiff are boosted by the news that Jordon Mutch is expected to return from a foot injury to boost Mackay's options in midfield, while Tommy Smith's hamstring injury will be assessed ahead of the game.
