Luke Chambers blow for Ipswich

Ipswich will be without captain Luke Chambers for the visit of Brentford as the defender is set for a month on the sidelines.

Chambers has been unable to train after falling awkwardly during the first half of Tuesday night's win at Millwall and joins fellow centre-backs Adam Webster (ankle) and Tommy Smith (hamstring) in the treatment room.

Midfielder Bersant Celina has recovered from illness and should be available along with Flynn Downes (calf) and veteran keeper Dean Gerken while Emyr Huws (Achilles) and Luke Hyam (ankle) are both closing in on a first-team return.

Teddy Bishop has undergone surgery on a hernia and Tom Adeyemi has picked up a calf problem. Midfielder Andre Dozzell is expected to miss most of the campaign having suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his knee.

Brentford will be without Josh McEachran, who was carried off on a stretcher during the 2-2 midweek draw with Bristol City.

The Bees are hopeful the former Chelsea youngster has not suffered a serious injury after X-rays came back all clear, but he will not be available at Portman Road.

Fellow midfielder Ryan Woods is still missing after he and his partner tragically lost the baby they were expecting.

Rico Henry could return but Sergi Canos is not quite ready after an ankle injury.
