Selection poser for McCarthy

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy must decide whether to stick or twist ahead of the visit of Blackpool.

McCarthy named an unchanged XI for last weekend's trip to Barnsley as the one which disposed of Bolton and he duly saw his side score twice late on to claim a 2-2 draw at Oakwell.

Midfielder Luke Hyam (knee) will be assessed as he looks to make his return, while Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will again be hoping for inclusion in Town's matchday 18 following his recent return to training after a hamstring injury.

Striker Paul Taylor missed out against the Tykes as he struggles with a tooth abscess and he will also be monitored.

Ricardo Fuller will be back in Blackpool's squad for the clash.

The Seasiders are still searching for their first victory since November and are on a 14-game winless run, but they will be boosted by the return of ex-Stoke forward Fuller, back for the first time since January 11 following a hamstring problem.

Recent signings David Goodwillie and Elliot Grandin will hope to feature again as they look to build upon their match fitness while the versatile Neal Bishop (hamstring) played 90 minutes for a Blackpool XI against a Rochdale team on Tuesday.

Interim boss Barry Ferguson has still not picked himself since assuming the managerial reins while forwards Tom Barkhuizen (shoulder) and Bobby Grant (foot) are out once more.
