Ipswich still keen on Daryl deal
The Tractor Boys have been chasing the Republic of Ireland striker all summer as Roy Keane aims to be reunited with Murphy.
The move looked to be off last month after talks over a possible switch to Portman Road broke down.
However, Bruce confirmed Ipswich are still keen on the 26-year-old and that a deal could still happen before the close of the transfer window.
"Talks are ongoing as I understand it and we will just have to wait and see if these talks come to anything," said Bruce.
